Secondary Entry Point. At the end of the great lawn is a secure access point to allow entry and exit during large festivals or gatherings of locals who may walk to the venue from the lower valley via the bridge crossing…

To allow people to cross the great lawn and take in the spectacular views during special events takes full advantage of both the project and this context.

Great Stepped Lawn:

A place to contemplate, to take in the views, a stage for reflection. The Great Lawn is a series of ramps that step down towards the valley, and merge with the Community Circle Gathering Area beyond the Main Public Building (Bamiyan Cultural Centre Hall), and allow individuals and family to stroll, sit and enjoy the open outdoor area. It is, in a way, an inverse amphitheater for the spectacular views of the Bamiyan Valley.
