In the classrooms, there are two ‘floor to ceiling’ windows to allow students to take in the views, but positioned to both not be a distraction during class and to allow natural light to graze the two end walls, maximizing the interior illumination…Further, there is a light shelf to help illuminate the ceiling, insuring that during the day there will be very little need for artificial lighting and allow for the continuation of class during any electrical outages.

Seats are movable and also function as storage cubes for backpacks or class materials. Mass walls ensure a temperate interior environment year around and during evening hours.
